Loungewear Outfits: Stay At Home Style
One of the things I was most in need of was practical outfits to wear as a stay at home mom or someone working from home – hello COVID! As someone who does a bit of both with 2 kids in the mix, this is something that hits close to home for me! I won’t lie, there have been many days lately, especially when Brynn was really little, that I have found myself still in the pjs I slept in at 1:00 pm. I actually like getting dressed, so I found my mental health starting to be affected. Clothes were just sitting in my closet unworn. I’ve really been making it a priority to get up and get dressed even if it is still in a comfy, practical, outfit. Below you will find 4 stay at home mom outfits you can easily wear. I also shared a reel on Instagram with a fun video of them all so you can get a better look!
With Mother’s Day coming up soon it’s time to TREAT YO SELF! Get some outfits that the waistband does not mock you, that if you wore them for a good 24 hours it’s not a big deal. So get ready for one of the biggest round-ups I’ve EVER done it’s #stayathomestyle time!
A Matching Set
A matching set has been my go-to stay at home mom outfit lately. It requires zero thought, feels like pajamas, and looks put together. I can easily sit on the floor with the girls and have also gone in public with this on for coffee runs and school drop off (don’t judge!). Both of these are good quality, and they make awesome loungewear. The teal set is like a knit fabric which I really like and several color options . Shop the teal set. The pink tie dye is a cotton fabric which makes it super soft. Shop the pink tie dye set.
Sweatshirt and Leggings
Sweatshirt and leggings is my other go to combo when I want to be slightly more comfortable. I do not want to sit on the floor all day in skinny, tight jeans or all cotton jeans with no give. I have found these leggings to be super comfy and affordable. You might recognize the sweatshirt as the same one from my outfit yesterday.
Romper
Let’s be honest, I was a little nervous about this romper. I have never tried one before. But this one was really comfortable and flattering. The material is super soft and I would say the fit is true to size. I ordered a large but found it was a little big so I could have went with a medium. Has a button closure at the neck so it could easily be used for nursing as well. I loved that feature. Shop this romper.
Athletic Shorts and T-shirt
This outfit would be perfect for a park day or zoo trip. Super comfortable, cool and cute. The shorts are Under Armor, the top is a crop top (but not too cropped!) and the tennis shoes are Adidas Cloudform. I love styling them in a way that is super comfy yet still feels put together. It feels so much more put together than wearing a t-shirt you might sleep or workout in all day. Know what I mean?
